Mk1 Rabbit C Diesel

2nd Best Mk1 – Fixxfest

Best Hot Hatch ever? The golf MK1 was a design produced by Giogetto Giugiaro. This design featured his signature “origami” or “folded-paper” style, emphasizing sharp corners and flat planes. The simplistic design and acute symmetry of these vehicles only seem to be aging marvelously as they get older.

With a few touch ups and with the taste of proper modifications these cars are a definite sight to behold.  Not only did this hot hatch set a new trend for the entire automobile industry in terms of styling but it also broke another record, it was one of the most fuel-efficient cars of the 1970’s, averaging 36.2 mpg, out of the 1.5 liter motor.

In today’s standards that is still considerably good! Loli’s mk1 Rabbit is a pristine example of a tastefully restored time capsule.

The vehicle received a full respray in its original Mountain Green color, which in our opinion looks absolutely flawless and screams vintage.

The fender wells were professionally flared by the master specialist who has a soft hand (and is connoisseur of juice like beers) aka Juan,  at Luft. Techknik, for wheel clearance. Very subtle but very effective equating to the perfect fitment for the blank wheels mounted to ksport coilovers. Juan also tucked the bumpers and refinished them in textured black which really sharpens up the look.

The interior is just as clean as the exterior due to full interior plastics that have been resprayed in its original Beige color. There is something special about this car that makes it so awe inspiring.

Loli’s Mk1 is a definite site to behold and is a great example of a beautiful clean chassis.
